Frequently Asked Questions
Cedar Mountain Fence Company is the leading residential fence company in Plainfield, Illinois and the suburbs of Chicago. Below is a list of some of our most Frequently Asked Questions. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions. Our team members would be happy to help.
What type of fence material do you offer?
We offer cedar, vinyl, and aluminum fences. Every fence that we do is custom fabricated and installed to fit your needs. Whether you want a natural cedar privacy fence or an eloquent vinyl picket fence, we have it in our yard. When you schedule your fence estimate, our team will explain the pros and cons of each material and figure out what will work best for you and your family.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, or credit cards. If you pay with a credit card there could be additional processing fees. We also have finance options available as well.
When is payment due?
Once you decide to move forward with your fence, we require a 30% deposit which will get you in our schedule and begin the fencing process. The remaining balance for the fence will be due upon completion. This will allow you to review everything and pay the crew or call into the office.
Does my fence installation require a permit?
Most villages/towns require that a fence permit is applied for. Our team will be there to help you along the way so no need to try and figure all that out on your own. Calling your local village hall will be the best way to find out what the requirements are for fence installation in your town.
What other documents or paperwork is required?
One of the most important documents that we require you to have is your plot of survey. This will outline your property and allow us to make sure your fence is installed within those property lines. Most towns require that you have a plot of survey to apply for the fence permit as well.
Do I have to be home on the day of fence installation?
In short, no, we do not require the homeowner to be home during the fence installation process. At this point in the process, we have everything we need and are ready to install the fence. If the fence crew has questions, they will reach out to you via phone. The only thing that we do require on that day is that the fence crew has access to running water and electricity.
