Wilmington Fence Installation

3/15/2017

Cedar Mountain Fence Company had the privilege of installing a very large fence in Wilmington IL. The customer had a huge backyard and wanted the whole thing fenced in with a very custom fence. The backyard was 500’ in total footage, which is really the size of 2-3 yards put together. The fence installation crew was on the project for 4 days. They had to take their time installing the fence and pay extra attention to detail in order to make sure the customer was 100% satisfied. That is something you need to know about Cedar Mountain Fence Company, is that we never leave until the job is done exactly how the customer wants it. You can read reviews of other fence companies online, and you will see over and over again, the main compliant of most fence companies is that when something goes wrong, they are not willing to continue to work on it to make it right. Customers go online and complain that something went wrong with their fence project, and the company they choose to work with is no where to be found. Most complaints online are about something that went wrong, and when push comes to shove, the fence companies are unwilling to fix their mistake. Here at Cedar Mountain Fence Company we have never had a customer compliant that we could not fully address and resolve so that the customer was 100% satisfied with how their fence turned out. The bottom line with fence installation is that you have to be willing to go the extra mile and go above and beyond in order to make people happy.

Many of our competitors are installing 5-10 fences a day. When you move at that pace, they are looking to get in and get out as quickly as possible. Most of the cheap laborers used by other fence companies are paid by the footage of the fence they install. So they have no incentive to take their time and get the project done right. They need to move as fast as possible in order to make as much money as possible. When the fence installer is paid by the footage, they make money for every linear foot that they install. So there goal really is to move as fast as possible in order to make as much money as possible. In most cases these cheap fence laborers want to do 2+ jobs a day in order to earn a decent living. Many of the owners of these bigger fence companies take advantage of cheap fence installers and do not pay them well. So when you have a fence installation crew moving fast to make more money and you have a large fence company not paying them a fair wage, you are bound to have a fence installed that is very low in quality and not put together well. Here at Cedar Mountain Fence Company we pay our fence installation crews top dollar and extra when the job is done right. We are looking for fence installers that take their time and pay attention to detail. We don’t install more than 1-2 fences a day in order to maintain the highest level of fence quality craftsmanship. We know that if we take our time, pay attention to detail, and put our best foot forward in all of our fence installation, we will become known in the industry for having the highest quality of fence installation available. We want to be known online and off line for being the best fence company in the industry.

The Wilmington fence customer choose one of our custom fences that is hand built on site piece by piece. They selected to have 500' of Vinyl Privacy fence with a decorative spindle top with a cut scallop design. This is a beautiful fence, but it is not easy to install, and we know from experience that you have to take your time when installing this type of fence. It is detailed and intricate in every way. As you can see in the fence photos, there are small spindles that are custom inserted into the top of the fence every few inches. These spindles do not come pre-made, we literally insert them one-by-one along the top of the fence to make this one of a kind custom design. The spindles need to be installed evenly and at the right height in order to maintain the cut scallop design throughout the entire fence.

But before we were able to install this massive fence, we first had to take down and haul away the old fence. This is no easy takes and takes time in order to remove the old fence properly. We loaded up all the old fencing material onto the truck and we remove it from the property for the customer. If you are thinking about having a fence removed, please contact Cedar Mountain Fence Company and we can give you more information about taking down and hauling away your old fence at little to no charge depending on the size of the yard.

The customer also had a very big backyard, so we did not have to remove the dirt from the premises. As you may know, with every hole we dig, there is a significant amount of dirt that we unearth from the ground. It creates little piles of dirt all around the fence line next to each hole. Well in some cases our customers pay us to haul the dirt away. But this customer was looking to save money on his fence, so he decided to spread the dirt around on his property. It was a great option for him to cut down on the cost of the fence installation. Depending on your yard, you may have some space where you can spread around the dirt and it will not hinder the beauty of your backyard. Please contact Cedar Mountain Fence Company for more information about whether you need to remove the dirt from your backyard, or whether you can spread it around like our Wilmington customer did in their yard.
